Not usually. A lot of the houses we work on here were built between 1987 and 1999, so hardware from that era is something we see regularly and carry parts for. What slows a job down is a door that's been modified or replaced with something nonstandard, that's the case where we sometimes have to order in.
Do you do full door replacement or just repair?
Both, depending on what the door needs. A lot of our calls end up being repair, spring, cable, opener, track, rather than full replacement, since that's usually the cheaper and faster fix. If the door itself is too far gone, we'll say so and talk replacement instead of patching something that won't hold.
